Planning Board Meeting, Dance Mixer Set for This Week

Mark those calendars—below are programs, meetings and events you don't want to miss in Middletown this week:

Monday, Nov. 4

Tickets go on sale for Middletown’s Holiday Train Ride and can be purchased between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Bayshore Annex, 180 Main St., Port Monmouth. The ride is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 14, and tickets are $15. Children under 1 year old are free, but still need a ticket.

Tuesday, Nov. 5

Middletown’s Veteran's Affairs Committee, which is “responsible for reporting the concerns of veterans to the governing body, providing information on local state and federal veteran’s programs and making recommendations on how to best meet the needs of veterans,” will meet at 7 p.m. in Town Hall. Wednesday, Nov. 6

Planning Board members will hold a regular meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m. in Town Hall. A new resolution of denial for the Four Ponds development is expected to be received and approved by board members following a special meeting last week.

Thursday, Nov. 7

Teens are invited to create a tsunami in a bottle, among other projects, during a 3 p.m. teen Maker Session at Middletown’s library. More information, including how to register, is available online.

Friday, Nov. 8

A mini group dance class begins at 12 p.m. at the Middletown Arts Center. Social and mixer dances will be held until 2 p.m., and light refreshments will be served. Come alone or with a partner. More information is available by calling 732-706-4100.
