Residents Indicted on Theft, Forgery, and Attempted Escape Charges
Two Middletown residents were indicted on their roles surrounding a Jan. 7 incident.

A Monmouth County grand jury indicted two Middletown Town residents last week for their roles played in the alleged theft of a prescription pad.
According to the indictment, Jenna Swenson, 23, of Abby Road, faces three charges surrounding the incident while Jon Siegert, also 23, of Abby Road faces two charges.
Swenson has been indicted on a charge of theft of moveable property, forgery, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Siegert was indicted for allegedly receiving stolen property, and attempted escape.

The indictment explains that on Jan. 7, Swenson allegedly stole prescription blanks and forged scripts without consent from the owner of the prescription pad.
Siegert allegedly received the prescription blanks while knowing or believing they were stolen. Siegert’s charge of attempted escape came from his alleged attempt to remove himself from detention when he was granted temporary leave.

In addition to Swenson’s indictment of theft and forgery, when arrested Swenson was allegedly found to be in possession of Alprazolam, a drug used to treat anxiety disorders and panic disorder.
