Middletown Township Committee Meeting
The Middletown Township Committee will hold a workshop meeting on Monday, Aug. 5 at 8 p.m. The meeting is open to the public and action may be taken.
Middletown Veteran's Affairs Committee
The Veteran's Affairs Committee will meet at 7 p.m. at town hall. The Committee is responsible for reporting the concerns of veterans to the governing body, providing information on local state and federal veteran's programs and making recommendations on how to best meet the needs of veterans.
11th Annual Rich Veth Golf Outing
The Rich Veth Golf Outing will be held on Monday, August 5th at SunEagles Golf Course at Fort Monmouth.
Junior Sweepstakes Regatta
The Junior Sweepstakes Regatta consists of 4 days of races. On Aug. 5 and 6, they will be sailed at SSYC on the Shrewsbury River and on Aug. 7 and 8, they will be sailed at MBC on the Navesink River.
Monmouth Barracudas Leave for Hawaii
The Monmouth Barracudas Swim Club, a year round USA competitive swim team, will travel to Oahu, Hawaii to compete in the 8th Annual Hall of Fame Invitational Swim Meet against teams from Hawaii and Japan.
Undersheriff to make Adult Identification Cards
Ted Freeman from the Ident Adult Program will be making identification cards for anyone who stops in.
Middletown Planning Board Meeting
The Middletown Township Planning Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. in town hall. The meeting is open to the public.
"One People, Many Voices: Celebrating a World of Jewish Music."
The Jersey Shore Jewish Music Festival presents the concert, "One People, Many Voices: Celebrating a World of Jewish Music." Three genres of Jewish world music will be celebrated - Klezmer music from Eastern Europe, Ladino music from Spain and Turkey and Syrian music from the Middle East.
Middletown Sewerage Authority Meeting
The Middletown Sewerage Authority Board of Trustees oversees the township's centralized wastewater collection system and treatment plant located in Belford. Meetings are held at 7:30 p.m. in the administrative office of the Sewer Authority located off Center Avenue.
Free Healing Arts Workshops
Amanda's Easel/180 Turning Lives Around, Inc. is offering free healing arts workshops at the Middletown Arts Center on Thursday evenings from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for anyone impacted by Super Storm Sandy age 5 and up. Aug. 8 is the final workshop.
Middletown Summer Concert Series: The VooDUDES
The Middletown Summer Concert Series continues Thursday with a performance by the VooDUDES. The VooDUDES will perform a unique blend of New Orleans funk, blues, boogie-woogie, honky-tonk, Zydeco, Southern soul and Caribbean party music during a family-friendly, outdoor concert on the Middletown Art Center's Northern Lawn.
Book Signing at Atlantic Highlands Library
The Atlantic Highlands Library is hosting a book signing with author Erlinda Kravetz on Thursday, Aug. 8 at 7:00 p.m.
