What's Closed and Open on Thanksgiving, Black Friday

Middletown’s municipal offices and schools will close Thursday and Friday in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

In addition, the Middletown library closes at 5 p.m. Wednesday in advance of Thanksgiving, and reopens for normal hours on Friday.

The Middletown Arts Center will be closed Thursday and Friday. It will open from 12 to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Even though schools are closed, Middletown’s varsity football teams will battle for Thanksgiving Day honors during their 10:30 a.m. at High School South. Contact the school offices for tickets.

For those hoping to score some Black Friday deals, the Monmouth Mall will be closed on Thanksgiving but will open from midnight to 10 p.m. on Black Friday.

Select stores at the Jersey Shore Premium Outlets will begin opening as early as 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving. You can view a list of those stores by clicking here. All of the outlets stores will open from midnight to 10 p.m. on Black Friday.

Thanksgiving is a federal holiday, meaning those offices will be closed and mail will not run Thursday.
