15-Foot Menorah To Be Lit In Millburn On Sunday For Hanukkah
Hanukkah begins at sundown Sunday, and a menorah lighting with treats will be held in Taylor Park in Millburn.
MILLBURN, NJ — Hanukkah begins at sundown Sunday, and Chai Center Chabad will hold a menorah lighting with treats that day.
A 15-foot-high menorah will be lit at Taylor Park, 100 Main St., at 5 p.m.
There will be free Hanukkah beanies, latkes, donuts, and hot chocolate, as well as music.

Hanukkah is the Hebrew word for dedication. The eight-day observance commemorates the Jews rising up against their Greek-Syrian oppressors, who wanted to suppress their religion and worship. The Jewish Maccabean Revolt took place in Second Century B.C.
