In Essex County: South Mountain ‘Fairy House Workshop’
Fans of the wonderfully whimsical can learn how to build a fairy house at a workshop on Nov. 4.
MILLBURN, NJ — Nature lovers and fans of the wonderfully whimsical can learn how to build a fairy house at a workshop hosted by the South Mountain Fairy Trail on Saturday, Nov. 4.
The trail of intricate, all-natural “fairy houses” – located in South Mountain Reservation park near Millburn – has inspired countless smiles since appearing in 2011.
According to a Facebook event post, a “Fairy House Workshop” will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Locust Grove picnic area, 197 Glen Avenue in Millburn, weather permitting. “Helpful tools” include garden clippers, small hammers and twine.
