Extended Holiday Run for "White Christmas" Announced

The Paper Mill Playhouse has announced an extended holiday schedule for the production of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas at the theater. 

The performances, which began at the Millburn theater on Nov. 16, will continue through  

The following is the schedule for remaining performances:
• Saturday, Dec. 17 at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
• Sunday, Dec. 18 at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
• Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m.
• Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
• Thursday, Dec. 22 at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
• Friday, Dec. 23  at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
• Saturday, Dec. 24 at 1:30 p.m.

Based on the Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye film, the musical tells the tale of two famous song-and-dance men who stage a show in a scenic, snow-topped Vermont inn — and end up finding love with two singing sisters under the mistletoe. 

With laughter, crazy plot turns, Broadway-size production numbers and the unforgettable music and lyrics of the legendary Irving Berlin, a book by David Ives and Paul Blake, Irving Berlin’s White Christmas is a brightly wrapped holiday gift. 

“We are thrilled to bring this cast of Broadway veterans to our stage,” said Paper Mill Playhouse Producing Artistic Director Mark S. Hoebee.  “There is no better way to celebrate the holidays than a trip to Paper Mill Playhouse to experience this holiday spectacle.”

In addition to the musical performance, the theater will also present the 2011  a program featuring more than 75,000 lights timed to music. 

The Holiday Village and Animated Light Spectacular will also run through Saturday, Dec. 24.

On Monday, Dec. 19, guests can also enjoy some of the best choirs in the state performing holiday selections in the theater’s courtyard and an opportunity to shop in the Paper Mill Playhouse Holiday Gift Bazaar in the theater’s lobby and art gallery from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  

In addition, guests can receive free photos with Santa Claus and free hot cocoa and warm apple cider in The Carriage House.
