Foods To Fight Your Body's Inflammation: Millburn Event
Which foods can you eat to reduce stress and chances for certain diseases? Millburn and Summit Health are offering a virtual health program.
MILLBURN, NJ —When your body fights off stresses or invaders, it becomes inflamed. Experts say chronic inflammation can lead to or worsen other disorders or symptoms, from stress to type 2 diabetes, cancer, and heart disease. They also say that the foods you eat can reduce inflammation.
The Millburn Health Department, in conjunction with Summit Health, will host a presentation on anti-inflammatory foods. The virtual program will be held via Zoom on Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 1 to 2 p.m.
Luckily, certain foods are known to fight inflammation.

"Join us to learn more about these foods and set yourself on a path to consuming a more
nutritious diet," the town said.
Anti-inflammatory foods includes certain types of berries, nuts, fish, and more.

Registration is required. To register, email Jessica Kelly, Health Educator at jekelly@livingstonnj.org or call 973-535-7961 ext. 227, 228, or 243. Upon registration you will receive the information to access the program via Zoom.
