Four Millburn Roads Will Close For Part Of Week Due To Water, Paving Work

Because of paving and water main work, four roads in Millburn will be closed at different times this week. Get the rundown.

MILLBURN, NJ — The town of Millburn has announced various road projects that could cause detours at different times this week.

The changes are:

  • Lackawanna Place will have one lane closed from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. this week. The entire road will close from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., possibly later.
  • Whittingham Terrace and Myrtle Avenue are undergoing work by New Jersey American Water, which is starting two water main replacement projects. The Whittingham Terrace project could take until the end of the month, the town said. Work hours for that project will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Myrtle Avenue project is expected to be completed within 3 months. See more details here.
  • Short Hills Avenue will be closed for paving between Overlook Terrace and Millburn Avenue starting at 9 a.m. this week.
  • Millburn Avenue, around Glenwood Drive to the Springfield border, will be closed for paving starting around 9 a.m.
  • Station Plaza was to be closed for milling starting at 9 a.m. just on Monday, Dec. 5.

  • Residents affected by milling and paving operations are requested to park their cars on side streets.
  • Residents in the neighborhood of Short Hills Avenue are permitted to park in St. Rose's
    parking lot in unmarked spaces only.
  • Weather permitting, closures can generally be expected between the hours of approximately 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additionally, overnight road closures may extend into the morning commuter hours.
