Holiday Packages Delivered To Holocaust Survivors In North Jersey

A temple in Essex County donated the Purim packages, which included hamantaschen, fuzzy socks, word puzzles and other treats.

NEW JERSEY — A team of volunteers with Jewish Family Service of MetroWest New Jersey recently delivered holiday packages to dozens of Holocaust survivors in Essex, Morris and Union counties.

According to a news release, the donations were made for Purim, and included hamantaschen, fuzzy socks, word puzzles and other treats. They were donated by Temple B’nai Jeshurun in Short Hills.

Volunteers with Jewish Family Service of MetroWest New Jersey have also organized other meal drives in the region, including recent holiday outreach for Thanksgiving, Chanukah and Rosh Hashanah.
