MILLBURN, NJ — While Hurricane Ian isn't going to smash into New Jersey from sea like Superstorm Sandy did 10 years ago, a storm that weakens over land can still bring heavy wind and rain, as we saw with the fatal Tropical Depression Ida only one year ago.

Ian is expected to travel up western Florida and through western North Carolina.

A potential rainfall map from the National Hurricane Center for the next three days is touching the southern tip of New Jersey. The map will be updated later, and will likely show the rainfall potential throughout the whole state.
