Kindness Trees Are Growing at Millburn's South Mountain School
First graders at the elementary school are learning about character development and displaying their acts of kindness on a "kindness tree."

Acts of kindness are growing like weeds at South Mountain School, where first graders are proudly displaying their acts of kindness on the “Kindness Tree,” pictured in this photo.
Each student and their family were given the opportunity to create a leaf demonstrating an act of kindness. These leaves are proudly displayed on the Kindness Tree.
First grade teachers, Katie Mattis and Karin Odell, believe that it is important to develop the skills necessary for growing into respectful and responsible members of our community.
