Man Goes Bananas Over Lack Of Bananas, Breaks Register: Millburn Cops

The banana fan busted a Millburn restaurant's cash register over an order that did not have enough bananas, police say.

MILLBURN, NJ — An angry diner went bananas in a Millburn eatery last week because his poke bowl didn't have enough bananas, officials say.

The disappointed banana fan broke the cash register at Playa Bowls on Millburn Avenue near Main Street just before 5:30 p.m. last Thursday, Millburn police said.

The East Orange man, 38, had come to pick up an online order, only to find it did not meet his banana needs, officials said.

An employee tried to explain the refund process, but this did not soothe the banana fan, said officials.
