Millburn Cops Find Stolen Mail, Cards, Checkbooks During Traffic Stop

Millburn police arrested two people after conducting a traffic stop near The Mall at Short Hills.

MILLBURN, NJ — Millburn police arrested two people earlier this week after conducting a traffic stop near The Mall at Short Hills – and finding stolen mail, credit cards, checkbooks and a controlled substance in their car during a search, authorities said.

According to the Millburn Police Department, an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on a white Dodge Durango at the Short Hills Mall on June 13 after determining that the registered owner had a suspended driver’s license.

The driver – Karron Lovelace-Hilton, 39, of Union – had active arrest warrants out of Union and West Orange, police said.

The passenger – Selena Phillips, 26, of Philadelphia, PA – also had an active warrant issued by Union Township, police said.

Police searched the vehicle, finding stolen mail, credit cards, stolen checkbooks and a controlled dangerous substance (CDS).

Lovelace-Hilton and Phillips were taken into custody and charged with possession of a CDS, receiving stolen property, forgery and identity theft, police said.
