Millburn Homeowners Scare Away Burglar, Police Pursuit Ensues

A burglar snuck into their house through an unlocked window, Millburn police said.

MILLBURN, NJ — Residents of a Millburn home scared off a burglar who snuck into their house through an unlocked window earlier this week, authorities say.

According to the Millburn Police Department, officers responded to a home on Glen Avenue in the early morning hours on April 2 after getting a report about a burglary.

“The actors entered the residence through an unlocked window. They were scared off by the homeowners, and fled in a vehicle. The suspect vehicle was located and a pursuit was initiated but had to be terminated due to safety concerns.”

The Millburn Police Department Detective Bureau continues to investigate the incident, authorities said Monday.
