Millburn Issues Advisories For Snow And Rain

MILLBURN, NJ — Amid reports of a major snowstorm coming to other parts of the country, the NWS has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for western Essex County towns from 6 p.m. Friday through 10 a.m. Saturday.

In Millburn, streets could be slippery Saturday morning, and some wind gusts are expected.

However, the snow expectation has decreased. Forecasters were predicting around a half inch of rain Friday night and up to a half inch more snow Saturday. (Updates are here.)

The big story may be heavy rain expected Monday into Tuesday morning, possibly up to an inch of rainfall.

For this weekend, the township said:

There is a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for Essex County from 6 p.m. Friday, March 10 until 10 a.m. Saturday, March 11. Forecasters predict rain to begin after 4 p.m. Friday, before turning into a snow mixture with the possibility of 3-5 inches of accumulation. During snow-related weather events, please refer to the Snow Storm Guidelines below.

Sunny Sunday, But Rainy Monday

Sunday will be mostly sunny. But more rain could come late that night into Monday.
