Staff Member Mourned By Millburn Schools

MILLBURN, NJ — The Millburn School District sent a message to its community late Sunday night mourning the passing of a staff member — who's also the mother of a district teacher — and saying counselors will be available in the schools.

"It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you of the death of Mrs. Cindy Todd, Washington School administrative assistant," the message said. "She died suddenly this evening, February 26, 2023. "

"The impact will be felt by all members of our school district community."

A school directory says that Todd worked in the school's main office.

Her daughter is a teacher at a different school in the district, the district's message said.

"To support our students and staff during this difficult time, counselors and support staff will be available as needed," the message said.

"Our thoughts are with Mrs. Todd’s family at this time. We will be sharing details on services in the coming days. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers."
