NJ Man Accused Of Millburn Home Burglary, Car Theft

An Essex County man has been accused of committing a home burglary and stealing a car in Millburn, authorities said.

MILLBURN, NJ — An Essex County man has been accused of committing a home burglary and stealing a car in Millburn, authorities said Wednesday.

The Millburn Police Department released the following details about the incident, which took place during the morning hours of April 17:

“The Millburn Police Department responded to a Joanna Way residence on a report of a burglary that just occurred. The actors entered the residence through an unlocked door and took the homeowner’s keys to their vehicle. The actors then stole a vehicle from the driveway. [An investigation by] Millburn detectives, along with the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and Homeland Security, led to the arrest of Alquan A. Harris, 25, of East Orange.”

Harris was charged with multiple counts of burglary, attempted burglary and motor vehicle theft. He was also charged in connection with the burglary that occurred in Millburn on Glen Avenue on April 2, police said.
