Pedestrian Killed By Train At Short Hills Station: NJ Transit
A pedestrian was fatally struck at the Short Hills st ation by a NJ Transit train that left Hoboken, NJ Transit said.

MILLBURN, NJ — A pedestrian was fatally struck shortly after noon near the Short Hills train station, Millburn and NJ Transit officials said Wednesday.
Morris and Essex Line and Gladstone Branch rail service is subject to up to 30-minute delays in both directions due to an earlier pedestrian fatality at Short Hills.

The town of Millburn Tweeted after 1 p.m.: "Emergency responders are on the scene."
Around 5 p.m., the township said that rail service was operating "on or close to schedule in both directions following an earlier pedestrian fatality at Short Hills station."

Media outlets said that NJ Transit identified the victim as male, and said train 417 from Hoboken to Gladstone struck the person around 12:19 p.m.
Officials did not release details, but Patch will update this story when they are released.

A pedestrian was also fatally struck at the station in September 2021.
