Renowned Violinist to Perform With Orchestra at Millburn Middle School
The Metropolitan Orchestra of New Jersey will debut its 43rd annual season on Nov. 16 at Millburn Middle School.

The Metropolitan Orchestra of New Jersey will debut its 43rd season at Milburn Middle School on Nov. 16 at 3 p.m. with a performance by Michael Avagliano, a renowned violinist, concertmaster, and conductor.
Join conductor, Michael Stratechuk, and the musicians of the Metropolitan Orchestra of NJ as the celebrate the opening of the season.
The opening program, featuring accomplished violinist, Michael Avagliano, will be the first of the orchestra’s three concert series. The program will feature Beethoven: Egmont Overture, Op.84; Mendelssohn: Violin Concerto in E minor, Op.64, and Beethoven: Symphony #4, Op. 60.

Avagliano has been praised by the Washington Post as a “versatile and sensitive artist” with a tone that is “both bold and graceful”. He is also an accomplished violist as a member of the Madison String Quartet, and equally at home as a conductor.
The violinist also serves as the Music Director of the Central Jersey Symphony, and as the concertmaster of the Baroque Orchestra of North Jersey, and the Metropolitan Orchestra of NJ.

The performance will be held at Millburn Middle School Auditorium, 25 Old Short Hills Road, in Millburn. The concert is free, with a suggested donation: $20. Additional funding has been provided by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts through a grant administered by the Essex County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs.
