Local Couple To Appear On 'Shark Tank' Friday: Can Their Idea Win Investors?
A couple from Short Hills, NJ will compete on TV's "Shark Tank" to win investors for their product, which makes beach trips more fun.

MILLBURN, NJ — A Short Hills couple will appear on the TV show "Shark Tank" this Friday to try to win investors for their product that's designed to beach visits more fun.
Sunflow, their lifestyle brand, offers "products that transform the beach experience," according to the company — most prominently, the Sunflow beach chair with its attachments and accessories.
Company founders Leslie Hsu and Greg Besner, who have lived in the Short Hills section of Millburn for 22 years, intend to "show the sharks how they reimagined a category that had not been innovated in over 100 years," a Sunflow representative said.

They know the shore well. Besner is from Margate in Atlantic County, and Leslie is from Potomac, Md.
On the TV show, inventors of new products or services try to convince a panel to invest in their idea, often with a humorous presentation.

Sunflow was launched early in the pandemic, on Memorial Day 2020.
Tune in to watch the couple in the "tank" this Friday, March 18 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
