Short Hills Township Candidates Forum Slated for Tonight

The four candidates, including current Mayor Robert Tillotson, will gather at the education center to debate local issues in the public eye.

Four candidates vying for two open seats will speak to local residents on Oct. 29 at 7:30 p.m. at the Education Center, located at 434 Millburn Ave.

The Short Hills Association is hosting this evening of civic engagement for the general public. Arp D. Trivedi, President of The Short Hills Association, will serve as the moderator for the forum.

“This year finds us playing host to four candidates from two parties. Cheryl Burstein and Steven Thomas represent the Democrats,” Trivedi explained. “Representing the Republicans are Mayor Robert Tillotson, the incumbent, and Dr. Matthew Lipp. They are competing for two open seats.”
