Millburn Rocktoberfest Gets Added Boost From Beer Maker Stella Artois

The Rocktoberfest concerts in Millburn on Saturday will get an added boost with Stella supplying a celebrity chef, samples, and more.

MILLBURN, NJ — Rocktoberfest, presented by Millburn Education Foundation, returns to Taylor Park in Millburn this Saturday with more than 20 acts performing, as well as a Kids' Zone, beer garden, and more.

The sixth annual event will get a boost from beer brand Stella Artois, which will supply samples and a celebrity chef creating recipes.

According to an announcement from organizers, "New at the event will be Frites Artois presented by Stella Artois, with recipes created by celebrity chef Roy Choi, a Bud Light Seltzer Jeep sampling its loudest flavors ever in the Beer Garden, and a Michelob Ultra Mobile Fitness Gym in the Fitness Zone."

All proceeds from Rocktoberfest will benefit Millburn Township schools, teachers and students.

The artists play music in a variety of genres.

Featured artists include:

  • Leon & the Peoples "with their signature high energy blend of reggae and soul"
  • The Edge of Heaven, a Chinese/American jazz fusion ensemble
  • The headlining performance: The Rocktoberfest All Stars, a collaboration led by keyboardist Steve Molitz from Particle. It also includes Lenny Meranus (vocals/guitar) from Livingston Leo’s Chicken Dinner and features Al Schnier from moe (vocals/guitar), saxophonist Arno Hecht from Uptown Horns and legendary drummer Don Castagno.

“Last year we were dealing with Hurricane Ida and so many businesses couldn’t participate. But this year we’re excited to make a rebound – and in a big way – we’ve partnered with Stella Artois plus we have an amazing lineup of musicians," said Rocktoberfest Chair Joanna Parker-Lentz. "And lots of great surprises that we’re keeping under wraps."

There will be more than 20 band and solo artists on two stages.

There will also be a beer garden, other food and drink, and free fitness classes in the park. The Kid Zone will feature inflatable rides and carnival games for the kids.
