Three Concerts Scheduled For Millburn This Weekend
Check out these three performances coming up in Millburn's business district, and events in early September as well.
MILLBURN, NJ — The organization Explore Millburn-Short Hills has announced the remaining August concerts on the summer music schedule on the website. They've also planned some events and posted some deadlines for early September.

- Friday, Aug. 27 (7-10 p.m.) “Chris Turner and ClearStream”
- Saturday, Aug. 28 (4-5 p.m.) “Lucky Profit”
- Saturday, Aug. 28 (7-10 p.m.) “Allie May”
Location and times are subject to change based on site availability and the weather.

They've also placed “Games on Main” to play, including giant Connect4 and ladder-toss.

- Grant Applications Open Until Next Friday: Explore has launched a grant program to help businesses in the Special Improvement District improve their storefronts. Non-repayable grants up to $1,000 are available for cleaning projects, plantings, street furniture and parklet installations. Visit www.exploremillburnshorthills.org/explore-refresh-grant/ for the application. The application period is open until Sept. 3.
- Painters Sought For Public Art Projects: “Explore” has a number of exciting public art projects planned for the Fall. We are looking for local painters to participate. Email Steve Grillo at steve@exploremillburshorthills.org to add your name to the interest list.
- Upper Millburn Avenue Sidewalk Stroll Slated For Sept. 12: Join Explore, the Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce and the Rocktoberfest team for a new event on Sept. 12. From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. there will be live music, kid-friendly activities and a chance to visit local businesses. More information will be available soon via social media.
- Free Parking During Flex Parking Removal: Millburn Avenue between Town Hall and Main Street is under construction but open for business. Street and lot parking in the surrounding area is free through August.
Explore describes itself as "The non-profit organization established to support and promote the businesses throughout the five areas of the Special Improvement District that was established in 2020."
The Special Improvement District (SID) for the township and established to promote, grow and support local businesses, property owners, residents and visitors. The SID’s mission is to encourage the economic, cultural and social vitality of Millburn Township through increased marketing and visibility, improved and renewed infrastructure and local business development and engagement.
