Worker At Short Hills Mall Accused Of Stealing $27K From Store: Police
A Nordstrom employee at The Mall at Short Hills has been accused of stealing more than $27,000 from the store, Millburn police said.
MILLBURN, NJ — A Nordstrom employee at The Mall at Short Hills has been accused of stealing more than $27,000 from the store, police said Wednesday.
The Millburn Police Department released the following details about the allegations:
“On January 14, [a Millburn police officer] responded to Nordstrom at the Short Hills mall on a report of an employee stealing cash from the store. Nordstrom loss prevention reported that cash had gone missing on 21 different occasions over the past three months. An investigation was launched by lost prevention, who reported observing employee, Divine Ibewuike, 24, of Union, taking cash from the cash deposit bag on multiple occasions totaling $27,786.”
Ibewuike was arrested and charged with theft of movable property, Millburn police said.
