2 Arrests In Montclair Armed Robbery, Suspect Still At Large: Prosecutors
A victim was robbed at gunpoint in Montclair while she was walking her dog. Two of three suspects have been arrested, authorities said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Two suspects have been apprehended in connection with an armed robbery that recently took place in Montclair, but a third suspect remains at large, authorities announced Monday.
The robbery happened around on North Willow Street around 12:45 p.m. on June 1 as the victim was walking her dog. At that time, a dark-colored Acura TLX – which was later identified as stolen – pulled up alongside her, authorities say.

“Two males exited the vehicle and approached. The driver remained in the vehicle. One of the males that exited the car brandished a handgun and demanded her belongings, specifically her jewelry. One of the suspects forcibly removed her necklace from her neck. The suspects then reentered the Acura and fled south towards Glenridge Avenue.”
Montclair police noted that the vehicle was recovered later in Jersey City. It has been linked to similar incidents in Union, Elizabeth and Jersey City.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office released an update about the robbery on Monday, noting that the suspects in the car were wearing ski masks.

According to prosecutors, two suspects have been arrested: Wesley A. Garcia, 18, and Kirvin De La Rosa, 19. Both are Jersey City residents.
Prosecutors said Garcia and De La Rosa were each charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree conspiracy to commit armed robbery, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, third-degree receiving stolen property and second-degree eluding law enforcement.
