2 Home Burglaries, 2 Arrests Reported In Montclair
Two home burglaries were reported in Montclair last week. Meanwhile, police have charged two teens in connection with a separate burglary.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Two home burglaries were reported in Montclair last week, authorities announced Tuesday.
The Montclair Police Department released the following details about each incident:
Sept. 23 (Nassau Road) – “A resident reported that his home was entered and a television was damaged. He reported that the residence was vacant between 4 and 6:30 p.m., at which time an unknown person(s) entered the home through an unlocked front door. Nothing appeared missing at the time of the report, however, a television in his daughter’s bedroom had been ‘smashed.’”

Sept. 25 (Park Street) – “A resident reported that his home was burglarized during the overnight hours. He stated that when he woke up, he discovered a statue in his back sunroom was on the floor. He also discovered a back door slightly ajar and a window open with the screen pushed in. He reported that approximately $400 was taken from a purse.”

Montclair police also said two teens were arrested in connection with a separate burglary that took place in the township.
The burglary took place in May on Marion Road, police said.
Montclair police charged a 16-year-old male and an 18-year-old male – both from Newark – with burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary on Sept. 19.
