“Finding this behavior unusual, the resident proceeded downstairs to the kitchen area and discovered that a door which had a deadbolt and doorknob lock was unlocked. As the resident approached the door to secure it, he observed that one of the gates his driveway was open and that one of his vehicles, a 2024 blue Mercedes-Benz G550 was missing from the driveway. The suspects apparently made entry into the home from the rear door. Once inside, they located the keys to the Merecedes from a kitchen drawer. In addition, a purse belonging to a female resident was stolen from the kitchen.”

The Mercedes was recovered Saturday on Jerome Avenue in the Bronx, NY, police said.

Another burglary took place last Wednesday, police said.

According to the Montclair Police Department, the incident took place on Valley Road. Authorities released the following details about the burglary:

“At approximately 12:40 a.m., officers responded to a Valley Road residence on an alarm activation. The resident then contacted 911 to report that they located an open first floor window, which caused the alarm to activate. Responding officers discovered that the suspects had attempted to pull the screen out. It appears that the suspect(s) were not able to make entry, and the alarm caused them to flee. Clifton Police Department reported that a residence in their town also had a burglary attempt where three male suspects with a crowbar attempted to break into a residence.”

The suspects – who were wearing all black clothing and ski masks – were spotted in a BMW X7 and a BMW X3 with no license plates, police said.
