An attempted burglary in Montclair was derailed with the help of a barking dog, police say.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — An attempted burglary in Montclair was foiled last weekend with the help of a barking dog, police say.
According to the Montclair Police Department, residents of a Park Street home told officers that their dog began barking incessantly around 10 p.m. on Saturday.
When an unknown person tried to open the front door, the homeowner went to investigate – and saw someone in dark clothing flee the area south on Park Street, police said.
