Burglar Gets In Through Open Window

The following information was submitted by the Montclair Police Department.

  

A burglary was reported at a home on North Fullerton the evening of June 24, Montclair Police said Monday.

Police said they were told by the homeowner that the family had gone to bed at about 11 p.m., with a first-floor window in the rear living room left slightly open.

When they woke up, they could not find a purse they had left in the kitchen. Believing it may have been left in one of their cars, they went outside to look in their 2007 silver Toyota Sienna.

But the car was gone.

A more thorough investigation revealed that someone had gotten into the home through the window that had been left open. The car's keys, which were in the stolen purse, were used to steal the car.

Also taken from the home was a Nikon D90 camera. Also taken was a 32GB iPod touch and a Magellan GPS unit that had been left inside the car.
