Buy-A-Brick Fundraiser Will Fuel Renovation At Montclair Public Garden
Volunteers dedicate more than 800 hours each season tending to this hidden-but-public oasis of green in Montclair.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A renovation project is in the works at a cherished historical garden in Montclair.
For decades, the Garden Club of Montclair has maintained the Avis Campbell Gardens behind 60 South Fullerton Avenue. Volunteers dedicate over 800 hours each season tending to the hidden-but-public oasis of green.
The pathways at the garden have deteriorated over the years, which makes it harder for visitors to enjoy the space. And that’s why a renovation project is being launched as part of the club’s 100th anniversary celebration, its members say.

To help fund the repairs, the nonprofit is offering personalized, engraved bricks that will be integrated into the new garden pathways. Each brick will be personalized with the donor's name and a message or dedication.

“The Avis Campbell Gardens are a treasure for the whole Montclair Community,” club president Sarah Olson said.
“When you add your name or a special message to a brick, you're helping us create a more accessible and welcoming space for everyone to enjoy, now and for years to come,” Olson said.
