Car Crushed In Montclair Crash, Driver Trapped Inside: MFD

First responders arrived at the scene to find two cars piled on each other – and someone trapped in the wreckage.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair first responders rescued a trapped driver after a car crash on Thursday, authorities said.

According to the Montclair Fire Department, emergency responders were dispatched to Valley Road and William Street after getting a call about a crash.

Crews arrived at the scene to find a SUV stacked on top of a sedan – and someone trapped in the wreckage.

Firefighters quickly stabilized the vehicles and began extrication operations. The trapped occupant was safely freed and transferred to the Montclair Ambulance Unit for medical evaluation, authorities said.
