Church St. Summer Music Fest Presents Jazzy Jan Loe

The Church Street Summer Music Festival, sponsored by Tapastry Restaurant, proudly presents JAZZY JAN LOE outdoors on the corner of Church Street and Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair on the evening of June 30, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Jazzy Jan is a multi-instrumentalist, a master guitarist and singer/songwriter known to captivate audiences wherever she plays. Check out her website here.

"Guitarist, Singer, Songwriter Jazzy Jan Loe performs jazz guitar and solo guitar instrumentals in the style of Micheal Hedges and Leo Kotke... she studied jazz and classical: voice, guitar and piano at William Patterson College in NJ, Mills College in CA, University of Houston, University of St. Thomas in Houston TX and privately from Bucky and John Pizzarelli, Bob Devos, Vic Juris, Joshua Breakstone, Eddie Decker and Paul Meyers. She composed a jazz instrumental which appeared on Melrose place in 1992 and an avant-garde oratorio performed at Outpost in the Burbs. Ms. Loe has performed at the Smithsonian and many Jazz and folk venues across the country such as Club Bene an Trumpets Jazz Club. She appeared as Henny Penny in the NY premiere of the children's opera Chicken Little (where the sky really fell much to Sigmund Frog's dismay). Jan has shared the stage with such amazing players as Gene Bertoncini, Cliff Eberhardt, Mundell Lowe, Mike Richmond, Vitali Imereli, Diane Perry and Steve Johns."

The well-attended Thursday and Saturday night outdoor summer concert series is managed and hosted by Meg Beattie, Julian Keenan and Greg Spinelli. In the event of inclement weather, the concerts move indoors to Tapastry's main dining room at 12 Church Street, Montclair.

Owners, Greg and Cheryl Spinelli, are pleased to present the annual music festival each year and to once again have an opportunity to foster the arts alongside serving up their exciting al fresco tapas dining experience.
