Dogs From Montclair Earn Prizes At Halloween Costume Contests
These adorable doggos from Montclair dressed up as a pilot and a sunflower in the county's annual Strutt Your Mutt competition.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — A pair of adorable doggos from Montclair captured prizes at a 2023 Strutt Your Mutt Halloween contest in Essex County.
Essex County held its annual series of free canine Halloween costume parades and contests at three of its parks for 2024: Branch Brook, Brookdale and Grover Cleveland.
Montclair residents Nakida and Sharonda Hall and their pet, Jerzee – who was dressed up as a pilot – won second place in the Cutest Costume category at Branch Brook Park (see photo in gallery above).

Meanwhile, the Hayward family of Montclair and their pet, Kinneas – who was dressed up as a sunflower – won third place in the Cutest Costume category at the Brookdale Park event (see photo below).
