Frankie Faison Reads a Bedtime Story at The Little Read, Pumpkins Light Up at Presby

Patch has put together some things you need to know for Friday. 

The Little Read kicks off at the Montclair Public Library Friday with Bedtime Stories, with milk and cookies, read by actor Frankie Faison, star of HBO’s “The Wire,” Mayor Robert Jackson and others. The fifth annual read-aloud marathon brings Montclair citizens together in a celebration of literacy and community. Apricot Sky Productions Fight Hunger with one-act plays and monologues. All profits from Friday and Saturday's performances will be donated to the Montclair Food Pantry, 9 Label St.  

Gardens Aglow is an annual highlight at the Essex County Presby Memorial Iris Gardens. Artfully carved pumpkins will line the beds at the historic gardens.
