Halloween 2011: Last Minute Costumes for Big Kids

Whether you received a last minute invite to a Halloween party, haven't had any time to think about a costume, want to dress up with the kids or have decided to enter a costume contest, it’s not too late to get a costume together. 

Montclair has a variety of resale shops where it’s possible to find clothing for almost any costume. Here are a few ideas for last-minute costumes if you just haven't had a minute to plan.

Charlie Sheen as Charlie Harper from Two and Half Men: A vintage bowling shirt paired with cargo shorts and a black wig will set this off.  Add a cigar and a cocktail glass filled with tiger blood for a “winning” costume.

Nicki Minaj: Pair a day-glo bright wig with some neon candy-colored pumps, a funky top paired with a full skirt and a fake mic and you’ll have their “heart beat running away.”

Bridesmaids: Find a second hand bridesmaid dress, add some silk flowers for a bouquet and if you have more friends the merrier on this one make it a whole wedding party, with one friend dressed as the bride.

Audrey Hepburn: You'll be a vision of Holly Golightly with a little black dress, some big black sunglasses, a large statement necklace and a tiara. If possible add in some long gloves.

Jack Sparrow: Some black pants, boots, an eye patch, a long wig, rings on every finger, and a white flowy shirt paired with some rotten teeth and you’ll be ready to sail the high sees.
