MONTCLAIR, NJ — There’s new life at a historic train station in Montclair.

Anchored by Montclair Flea and Ironbound Farm Market, Lackawanna Station aims to be Montclair’s own version of Chelsea Market – offering “food, art, shopping and community.”

The train station has been vacant for nearly a decade until being revived. Last year, it played host to a holiday flea market that ran from November to January.

Acquired by BDP Holdings in 2021, Lackawanna Station’s activation kicks off a multi-year redevelopment of the property, which will include new apartments, retail and office space. Details on the redevelopment are expected to be announced later this year.
