Jitney Bus In Montclair? Town Seeks Feedback From Local Commuters

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair is kicking around the idea of creating a jitney bus for local commuters.

Township administrators have launched a new survey that seeks to learn if there is a local need for a jitney or shuttle bus – and to understand what the residents’ specific needs are, if so.

Montclair previously had two shuttle bus services, a jitney bus to Bay Street Station, and a senior shuttle bus loop.

The township will study the responses to determine if this is worth additional investigation, officials said.
