Juneteenth Holiday In Montclair: Flag Raising, Festival, Closures
A flag raising ceremony and a festival will take place in Montclair for the Juneteenth holiday.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair will hold a Juneteenth flag raising ceremony on Thursday, June 19. The event will take place at 8:15 a.m. at the corner of Church Street and Bloomfield Avenue. Learn more here.

CLOSURES – Municipal offices will be closed in Montclair on Friday, June 20 to commemorate the Juneteenth holiday.

FESTIVAL – The public is invited to a “vibrant day of celebration, culture and community” as Friends of the Howe House hosts a Juneteenth Festival in honor of freedom, heritage and resilience. The event will include live performances, food vendors, children’s activities and local artisans. It is free and open to the public, and will take place from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 21 at Nishuane Park. Learn more here.
