Montclair Library Will Present 'Author's Talks' This May
Andrew Wander and Noah Lederman will be at the Montclair Library in May discussing their new books for the community.

From Montclair Library: The Montclair Public Library will host the following public events.
- Andrew Wander's Stately Homes of Montclair Sunday, May 7 at 2 p.m. Author and photographer Andrew Wander will present his coffee table book Stately Homes of Montclair. Talk includes DVD featuring 50 homes and Q&A.
- With the Author: Noah Lederman's A World Erased: A Grandson’s Search for His Family’s Holocaust Secrets Thursday, May 11 at 7 p.m. Noah Lederman, the grandson of Holocaust survivors, had always wanted to hear his grandparents’ stories. The stories, however, gave their own children nightmares. Thus tales of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and of the concentration camps were off limits to the third generation. Noah Lederman will speak about how he finally gained access to his grandparents’ memories before they disappeared forever. Selected as one of the best books of the year by The Philadelphia Inquirer, Lederman’s stories will transport audiences from his grandparents’ kitchen table in Brooklyn to World War II Poland. Noah Lederman is the author of the memoir, A World Erased: A Grandson’s Search for His Family’s Holocaust Secrets. His writing has been featured in the Economist, the Boston Globe, the Washington Post, the Miami Herald, Tablet Magazine, Slate, Salon, the New Republic, the Jerusalem Post Magazine, and elsewhere. He writes the blog Somewhere Or Bust. With the Author is presented in partnership with Watchung Booksellers to promote local authors with the intent of fostering a love of reading and a love of literature.
Both events are free and open to the public, but registration is recommended. The library is handicapped accessible and can provide assistive listening devices upon request. For more information on these events or to register, visit www.montclairlibrary.org/calendar or call 973-744-0500 ext. 2235.
