‘Little Slice Of Italy’ Is Closing In Montclair: Palato Caffe & Cucina
"This is the perfect time to use any remaining gift certificates you might have," the Montclair restaurant said, bidding its fans goodbye.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — For nearly three years, a “little slice of Italy” has thrived in Montclair. But for now, the crew at Palato Caffe & Cucina at 377 Bloomfield Avenue will be taking a hiatus – and preparing for their final week in business.
Since 2021, co-owners Massimo Apicella Owner (originally from Puglia, now Bloomfield) and Stefano Bosetti Chef (from Trento, now Montclair) combined northern and southern Italian cuisines in a “simple, authentic and highly delicious way” at their eatery on Bloomfield Avenue.
On Sunday, the restaurant announced that it will be celebrating its culinary journey in Montclair one last time this week.

Here’s the social media post from Palato Caffe & Cucina that was shared along with the message, Grazie Mille (“a thousand thanks”):
“For nearly three years. our little slice of Italy has thrived thanks to the warmth and loyalty of our Montclair community. We've cherished the laughter filling our cozy space, the familiar faces. and the countless conversations shared over steaming plates of pasta. However, it’s time for us to take a pause and re-evaluate our future. With dreams of maybe one day opening a larger space to better serve you, we've decided to close our doors for the time being. This coming week, from March 13th to March 17th, will be our last week. We invite you to join us for one last celebration as we close this chapter. Come raise a glass and enjoy your favorite dishes! This is also the perfect time to use any remaining gift certificates you might have. From the depths of our hearts. we express our immense gratitude for your unwavering support, Montclair. You've made our journey incredibly special. We look forward to celebrating with you all one last time this week. Thank you again for your friendship and loyalty. With heartfelt appreciation, Massimo & Stefano and The Team at Palato Caffe & Cucina.”
