Man Fights Montclair Cops During Traffic Stop, Police Say
He refused to comply with officers during a traffic stop and "fought with them upon arrest," authorities said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair police charged a 35-year-old man with aggravated assault and other offenses last week after he allegedly fought with officers during a traffic stop, authorities say.
According to the Montclair Police Department, the incident took place on Bloomfield Avenue on July 23.
The man – later identified as Jason Josaphat, of Montclair – refused to comply with officers during a traffic stop and “fought with them upon arrest,” authorities alleged.

Police said Josaphat was in possession of a chisel that had been “grinded to make a sharp edge.”
Authorities charged Josaphat with Obstructing Administration of Law, Resisting Arrest, Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purposes.
