Master Gardeners Of Essex County Announce 2022 Plant Sale Dates

The first sale is set for late April.

The Master Gardeners of Essex County (MGEC) announced details of their 2022 Plant Sale. The sale features Master Gardener grown tomato, basil and coleus plants and a curated selection of perennials, shrubs and woodies. Local honey and honey products will also be available.

Plant Sale Dates & Times

The Plant Sale will be on Friday, April 29th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturday April 30th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Presby Memorial Iris Gardens, 474 Upper Mountain Avenue in Upper Montclair. The following Saturday, May 7th, the sale will be at the Essex County Environmental Center’s Garibaldi Hall, 621A Eagle Rock Avenue in Roseland from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition, an online store will be available from Sunday May 1st to Friday May 6th at MGEC’s website mgessex.org.

Trained Volunteers

The Master Gardeners of Essex County is a group of volunteers who provide horticultural education and services to the community. Training is provided by the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station through Rutgers University. Along with operating a horticulture helpline, the organization volunteers at many Essex County sites including the Brookdale Park Rose Garden, Branch Brook Park Cherry Tree Collection and the Turtle Back Zoo.
