“He spent many summers at Camp Glen Gray, Essex Council’s Boy Scout camp since 1917. As an adult, Randy lead Troop 4 Montclair and remained active at Glen Gray. For years, Randy’s contributions in camp have been immense. He was always there to lend a hand, take on projects, share stories and most importantly create new memories. He is one figure at the ‘Glen’ that is sorely missed. One of the tasks he did religiously was manage the dock assembly at the start of the camp season, followed by removal at the end of the season. So it’s more than fitting that the waterfront is to be named in his honor.”
“All of Randy’s friends are welcome” at the event, organizers said. Camp Glen Gray is located on 200 Midvale Mountain Road outside Mahwah.
