I am thankful for how much people care for others here in town, especially for Reach Out Montclair, founded by Maddie and Garth Guthrie. They're always hard at work, helping the unhoused.and the hungry. Many times a year they host events for food distribution, huge holiday meal boxes and day to day assistance for those who request it.

Times are hard now for so many people who are dealing with food insecurity, loss of employment and lack of Healthcare. Even something that seems as little as receiving clothing, shoes or holiday gifts for children is a blessing. Maddie and Garth take no expenses or salary for what they do out of the funds they collect. It's a true labor of love
How has this made a difference in your 2025?
It's been difficult to rise to the challenges and deal with politicians who just don't care as.they cut programs at will without owning up to the consequences they've created.
What do you wish others knew about what you’re thankful for?
My circle of friends who've been there for me as I wage my recurrung health battle with love and offers of assistance. Even a sympathetic ear and coffee chats help so much. I try to give back and volunteer as much as I can, for the greater good. Not for the attention but because it's the human thing to do.
