A hotel in Montclair is challenging its guests to channel their inner detectives with an art-themed scavenger hunt.

The MC Hotel at 690 Bloomfield Avenue recently launched a scavenger hunt for its guests, who are taken on a self-tour throughout the property, including “the Mark,” a gallery that is open year-round.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A hotel in Montclair is challenging visitors to channel their inner detectives with an art-themed scavenger hunt. The prize for those who succeed? A drink on the house.

The MC Hotel at 690 Bloomfield Avenue recently launched a unique scavenger hunt for its guests, who are taken on a self-tour throughout the property, including “the Mark,” a gallery that is open year-round.

The scavenger hunt spotlights nature-themed work from five local artists:

  • “Shangri La” by Siona Benjamin
  • “Daisy Chain” by Delphine Hennelly
  • “Columnar Potpourri” by Joshua Araujo
  • “Pearl” by Barabara Syrenka
  • “Isabel” by Isabel & Ruben Toledo

“It's exciting to see this unique initiative taking shape right here in Montclair,” said Siona Benjamin, a featured artist of The MC's permanent collection.
