Montclair Library Friends To Discuss 'Little Read' At Upcoming Meeting

The Library's 8th Annual Little Read event takes place October 21 and 22.

On September 17, the Montclair Library Friends will hold an open meeting from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Bellevue Avenue Library, 185 Bellevue Avenue, Lower Level Meeting Room.

The meeting will highlight the Library’s upcoming 8th Annual Little Read event, scheduled for October 21 and 22. The goal of the Little Read is to encourage young children to read. The special guest will be Anita Peterson, Manager of the Montclair Public Library Foundation, which created and runs the Little Read program. Peterson will explain how the Little Read came about and discuss opportunities for locals to participate as a reader. The group's open meetings are free and open to the public. Participants can also learn about how to join their various committees, write for the newsletter or volunteer for any of their numerous community activities in support of the Montclair Public Library.
