Montclair Public Schools Give Back

Upcoming events include a screening of Frozen courtesy of the MHS Key Club and a gift wrapping event for local families.

Key Club to Screen “Frozen”

The MHS Key Club will screen the animated hit “Frozen” on Friday, December 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. To raise funds for its mission of providing community service to organizations around Montclair, Key Club members will be selling snack packs for $5.

The screening will take place in the Park Street main auditorium of Montclair High School, 100 Chestnut Street. RSVPs can be sent to lwombough@montclair.k12.nj.us are requested.

Wrap & Roll, Helping Local Families

Offices and organizations around the town of Montclair and the District will come together to donate and wrap gifts for local families. The event will take place on Tuesday, December 9 at Charles Bullock School, 55 Washington Street, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and a holiday cheer and food from 6:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. See the Wrap & Roll flyer for more information.

True Blue Spirit Initiative

The Montclair Public Schools and the Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence (MFEE) are partnering to expand the True Blue Spirit initiative, which supports athletic programs and facilities around the district. The expansion involves leadership training for athletes and professional development programs for coaches, and includes public events like this one.

To mark the launch of the MHS/MFEE partnership, author John McCarthy (What Would Yogi Do?), former MHS Athletic Director John Porcelli, and MHS graduate and athlete Larry Berra will speak on Tuesday, December 9, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Large Group Instruction (LGI) hall at MHS, located at 100 Chestnut Street.
