Montclair Residents Lead MKA Girls Soccer

Montclair residents Ella Freeman and Emery Walls are joined by Essex Fells' Grace Masella as senior tri-captains and leaders of a young Montclair Kimberley Academy girls soccer team which competes in the rigorous Super Essex Conference-American Division.

The Cougars entered recent action with a 3-2 record including victories over crosstown rival Montclair High and independent stronghold Kearny.

"Our captains lead by example,” said MKA first-year head coach Tim Keegan. “They show up ready to play and train hard and they have helped bring a new family culture to the program along with fellow seniors Nahlia Udofia (of Montclair) and Jolie Vaiana (of Wyckoff).

“The new positive culture that they worked hard to provide is showing up on the field!”
