Montclair's Christine Silen Wins Sanford Golf Cup

Christine Silen of Montclair is the winner of the Sanford Cup of the Women’s Metropolitan Golf Association Match Play Championship held at the Trump National Golf Club in Colts Neck, New Jersey.

The tournament was held on June 19 through June 22, 2012.

She won the final match this past Friday on the 15th hole with a par putt to win the championship.

Silen is a Montclair Kimberley Academy alum. She was the captain of the boys golf
team her junior and senior year and was also MVP her senior year.

She heads back to Boston University in the fall, where she plays D-1 golf for the team and is the BU golf instructor.

This summer she will be balancing her golf tournament schedule and her intern
schedule at Conde Nast Publications with Golf Digest Magazine in New
York City.
